My Daddy Has Good Lips!

I stole this post from my sister's blog to post on my own blog. It was really funny when it happened.

Post from Confessions of a Mimi:
"I really love my little Franklin. He makes me laugh and fills my heart with love. On Monday he wanted to spend the night with me and play with my kids. I love having him around and couldn't say no to him. Even though it was a school night for all I decided to let him stay with me. He did great.....until bedtime. He couldn't make up his mind who he wanted to sleep with...YaYa or BB.....but wait.....Mimi! I think he just assumed that I would be up the latest and he could stay up longer if he chose me. Well, he was right on the money. He could not settle down and he wanted to watch the news with me to see LiLi. She was chosen to ring the bell at school for the Governor. He visited their school that day. There were news cameras all around. Too bad we couldn't find the news station that carried the story. When I wake up Franklin to go to school the next morning he is just a little bit sleepy and doesn't want to get out of bed and get moving. He is soon persuaded because he wants to go with me to drop my kids off at their school. After I drop off my kids I head to Franklin 's house. He has a mini GPS system in his little brain and always knows where he is and where anyone is going. He quickly determines that we are headed to his house and tells me that he is not ready to go home. We go back and forth for a while until he asks why I have to take him home. I say "Because...". He comes back with "Mimi, that is a wrong answer." (Apparently he likes to say because as an answer to his mom a lot and she tells him its the wrong answer.) I promise him that I am staying at his house for a little while and he calms down. When we get to his house his Dad is about to leave for the day. He runs over to give his dad a kiss and a hug and then excitedly turns to me and says: " Mimi, come kiss my dad! He has good lips!" How do you explain to a 4 year old that Mimi's don't kiss other peoples dads? I just love my Franklin!"

Now understand that I was there when Franklin wanted to share Dad's lips with Mimi.....I am just not ready to share my sweet hubby with others yet .....

For now the Doctor is out.......wondering how to explain to Franklin that not everyone can kiss dad....only he and I can!!!

Rude Waitresses, Rude Managers....

I have to vent. Tonight, my friend, her son, my mom, my sister and her 3 kids, all joined myself and Franklin to have a fun Mexican meal at a local restaurant. Count us, there are nine of us!!!! Nine people and the waitress sits us at a table for six!!! We are trying to crowd in and make this work, but you can imagine how crowded it must have been. Well, I politely, let me stress that, POLITELY, asked the waitress if they could add another table or something since it was very crowded (and yes, the restaurant was crowded anyway --- it is Friday night afterall). A waiter came over and told us that he could move us to another room for a larger table so we could be more comfortable. We all stood up to move and I asked if we needed to bring our chips and salsa, silverware, etc. At this time another waitress (not involved in our service at all) turned to our waitress and said, "I feel for you having to deal with the B.......ch tonight." As you can imagine, I, along with my party, was very shocked at this behavior and it was made a little worse since the waiter turned to the butting in waitress and said that she should not talk like that in front of customers.

So, we moved to our new table and asked to speak to the manager. He came over, we explained what happened and that we did not appreciate the manner that the waitress spoke about me. THe manager then very rudely tried to explain the behavior away telling us that the waitress was not addressing our party at all. We disagreed and then he very RUDELY said, "If I went to a restaurant and I didn't like the service, then I would leave and go somewhere else." So we did!!!

We went to another Mexican restaurant in a nearby town (just a few miles down the road) and had a very lovely time.....great food, nice atmosphere, and KIND, attentive, helpful staff.

When I told sweet hubby (who is out of town this weekend) what happened he was a little more than upset and decided we had eaten our last meal at local Mexican restaurant (We ate there twice last week!).

For now the doctor is out.....trying to get over the "stuffed" feeling from her new favorite Mexican restaurant...

I have a Memory

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses.
If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :)
